Job Description JOB SUMMARY Provide research and development support in the area of Additive manufacturing to the US Army's energetics laboratory (EL) at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct engineering studies in support of additive manufacturing Provide engineering support and operate 3D Printers (multiple platforms) to develop prototypes with desired physical and mechanical attributes for US Army applications Conduct optimization of printing parameters for prototypes across multiple platforms Process optimization to build prototypes with specific physical properties requires technical knowledge application and ability to make material properties and design decisions Conduct engineering studies in support of development of high solids loaded formulations BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Requires a BS in Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, Higher Degree preferred Knowledge and hands on experience with operational principles of various 3D Printing platforms and designing formulations suitable for each one. Hands on experience with 3D printer operations Ability to meet background check requirements for a Common Access Card US Citizenship PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience developing high solids loaded formulations Experience with Energetic Materials and Formulations Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational and task execution skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
