Glo Skin Beauty is seeking dynamic Global Education Ambassadors to represent our brand via continuous education and relationship management. Candidates must be currently licensed estheticians in the respective state in which the position is posted with expertise in skincare, beauty and a proven record of driving brand awareness, sales, and loyalty via compelling education and training. This role requires ability to present in classroom, on location, and virtual settings. Glo is specifically looking for a Los Angeles based Ambassador with specific expertise in Media & Influencer Relations and Social Media.
Essential duties of the Global Education Ambassador:
Educate Glo customers on products and protocols: conduct regular training and education events by videoconference and in person for Glo accounts and clients; provide deep product knowledge of our entire line; conduct “train the trainer” events for professional estheticians, dermatologists and their staff, makeup artists, or business owners; collaborate with Regional and Territory Managers to support key initiatives.
Drive brand awareness: advocate for Glo at industry events, on social media, and in prospective customer locations; leverage knowledge of our brand positioning and competitive landscape to articulate our points of difference; use storytelling, probing questions, and relationship building to demonstrate value; appear at events or via media outlets to represent the brand; cultivate ongoing relationships with key media and influencer contacts.
Foster positive public relations: work with public relations agency to develop PR strategy; develop excellent relationships with media outlets, editors, and influencers on behalf of Glo; attend media and PR events to represent our brand; contribute written content or creative assets for PR, social media, and earned/owned media; source new opportunities for brand exposure.
Represent the Glo brand positively: share your passion for skincare and beauty products with enthusiasm; ensure a strong working knowledge of our full product portfolio and ability to clearly promote our products’ value; use excellent problem solving, communication, and relationship building skills to ensure an excellent customer or consumer experience; demonstrate continuous personal development by being open and receptive to coaching and customer feedback; communicate clearly and respond to internal and external partners in a timely and professional manner.
3+ years of experience in training roles at a national level within the beauty industry, 2+ years of experience related to social media and influencer & media relations
Professional experience in the beauty/skincare industry required
Esthetician License required
Prior media training preferred
Demonstrated success in representing a brand, public speaking, training and/or education
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Ability to independently manage work to expectations and self-direct with a sense of urgency
Demonstrated adeptness in social and business settings, maintaining poise and professionalism while adapting to changing situations
Expertise in Google G Suite, Microsoft Office products, a CRM system (e.g. Salesforce), creative software tools, virtual conferencing tools
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Must reside in the Greater Los Angeles area, Central LA preferred
Up to 75% travel monthly required including overnight stays in order to visit current and prospective clients in person; regular travel includes transit by car, train, plane.
Regular travel to attend regional meetings and support regional sales team in market
Global Education Ambassadors must live within the assigned region
Work may occur before/after normal business hours
Physical activities include driving, standing, lifting products in/out of vehicles, carrying boxes, listening and speaking with clients, demonstrating product use, using laptop, tablet, and mobile phone
