Director, Credit, Cash and Operations

The Director, Credit, Cash and Operations is responsible for leading a shared services platform that provides best in class deduction management, reverse logistics, credit & collection, contract, rebate, chargeback and pricing administration across various sites and resource locations. To do this well, the incumbent must be an agile and collaborative leader internally and externally that can influence with their technical mastery and business acumen (across multiple Business Units). The Director, Credit, Cash and Operations is often the face of Bayer to executives at external suppliers and retailers. Also, the leader in this role acts as the “glue” that connects to the end-to-end operations by adding value to the business through proactive partnerships with Business Unit Finance, Sales, Shared Services and the broader Customer Service / Order to Cash leadership team. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Proactively leads the Administrative & Operations Business to Consumer team by working with and influencing Customers, Business Partners, & Cross Functional leadership to realize our business objectives and goals while minimizing business risk and optimizing business return Stewards the shared services platform for the Consumer Health, Radiology, Pharmaceutical, & Women’s Health businesses by providing such core services as: Deduction Management & Resolution Risk Management/Credit & Collection Contract, Rebate & Chargeback Administration Pricing Administration Management & Business Analysis Strategically plans and resources the Administration & Operations Platform for current & future state needs to consistently meet the requirements of the Order To Cash Organization and the Business Partners that this function serves Serves as a member of the Customer Logistics Order To Cash Leadership team & works closely with the other members of the leadership team to enable collaborative and proactive working relationships to deliver the "end to end" shared services platform requirements with excellence, efficiency & speed Directs, develops and coordinates all Bayer US based deduction management, credit & collection, credit risk management, reverse logistics, contract, rebate, chargeback & pricing administration functions to minimize business risk, maximize financial return, and optimize use of working capital for Bayer Business Partners Instills a general management mindset to quantify and drive financial value, visibility, accountability and rigor across Customer Logistics/O2C and our commercial supply-chain Serves as an advisor to VP O2C-Customer Logistics and CL Leadership Team regarding holistic business and marketplace dynamics to inform and influence future business strategies Plans and executes to deliver short & long term cost, quality, cycle time, working capital and revenue goals of Bayer US. Decisions and direction affect the short and long-term economic performance of the US businesses. Tactical and strategic resource allocation and decision making is required Frequently leads longer term cross-functional & cross-divisional efforts in change-management, process re-engineering, cost reduction and problem solving WHO YOU ARE Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: Required Skills Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience within Healthcare or Consumer Products Industry OR Master’s Degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience within Healthcare or Consumer Products Industry is required CPA, CCE (Certified Credit Executive) or other top-tier professional certifications in Order-to-Cash are a plus Demonstrated progressive leadership / management responsibility while directing, leading and developing professional cross functional teams in an operating business environment, providing financial leadership within Brand, Sales, Product Supply, or a world-class Finance Shared Services environment is required Experience as an executive in a shared service environment that includes Order-to-Cash, and specifically Credit, Collections, and Dispute/Deduction Management is preferred Must have demonstrated experience operating and leading multiple departments within the framework of a larger function or division/country business unit Demonstrated success and capability interacting with and influencing senior management as a financial leader is crucial, including direct financial management of reserves, accruals and cost centers supporting a minimum of $500MM in annual sales or $30MM in functional annual spend Experience interfacing with Sales and Logistics, with demonstrated success managing reverse logistics strategy and operations in a consumer company (returns, reclamation, refurbishment, disposition…and associated policies) is required Must have experience directing and managing execution of complex, multi-channel, multi-division al Trade Pricing, and Trade Promotion, and negotiating and administering 3rd Party contracts, preferably in a US Healthcare company
